Targets

There are so many archery targets to choose from, it can get a little confusing. Here are my four top picks, one for every type of archer.

For basic backyard target practice, I recommend the Black Hole Four Sided Archery Target (link to Amazon). This target will last for years, being able to take thousands of arrows. Being able to leave it outside in the weather was super convenient and for 40 bucks this target was a steal. I would avoid this target if you are shooting a powerful bow with field point arrows, instead consider the Morrell target below.

If you are only going to be shooting occasionally with target point arrows only, I suggest a cheaper option like the TuffBlock Archery Target (link to Amazon). These cheaper targets are usually around 20 bucks and can be found online or in local department stores. These are great for kids or a day of casual backyard shooting with target point arrows.

For a more professional archer, I recommend the Morrell Supreme Range Field Point Bag Archery Target (link to Amazon). This is a NASP regulation archery target that will last virtually forever. I mean, these things are tough, they will cost a bit more that the targets above though. But this is top quality material we’re talking about. This is the only target you will ever buy again.

For hunters who want a realistic training advantage. I recommend the GlenDel Buck 3D Archery Target (link to Amazon). This 3D target of a buck comes with a replaceable insert core, so this target could last a lifetime. The target itself is around 140 bucks, but you could always replace the core for about 60 bucks whenever you need to.
